Carrot Stuffed Wheat Flat Bread/Gajar Paratha

Getting kids eat veggies is an uphill struggle for mommies.
Here I bring you a simple yet tastier carrot stuffed flat bread/gajar paratha. Win-win situation for mommies getting kids eat both veggies along with flat breads."Kill two birds with one stone", isn't it?
Recipe is as below

Ingredients:
For stuffing:
Carrots-grated- 1 cup
Green chillies-2 finely chopped
Turmeric powder-a pinch
Coriander Powder-1 tsp
Chat masala-1 tsp
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil-1tsp
For dough:
Whole wheat flour-1 cup
Water as required
Salt to taste
Ghee for parathas/flat bread

Recipe:
Dough preparation:
Mix salt to whole wheat flour and using water little by little knead into a pliable dough.
Keep aside for 30 mins
Stuffing preparation:
In a pan add oil and when hot add cumin seeds.Let it splatter and then add green chillies and saute.
Now add grated carrots and saute.
Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt to taste and let it cook for some time.
Now add chat masala and mix well.Take care that the stuffing doesn't burn.Do not add any water to cook the stuffing.Take care that stuffing is dry as below

Once cooked, let the stuffing cool down. Make small balls out of them and keep aside.
Flat bread preparation:
Take a lemon sized ball out of the dough prepared and roll out into 3 inch diameter discs and add small stuffing balls prepared.Cover the stuffing inside the 3 inch rolled discs from all sides and pinch off the excess dough if any after covering.
Flattern the stuffed ball using your palm and dust with flour.
Roll out into 6 inch diameter disc.
Now place on a hot griddle, let it get few brown spots on one side.
Flip the flat bread and cook the other side. Apply ghee on the top side and flip again.
Apply ghee again on top and once cooked well on either sides transfer it onto serving plate.
Enjoy with raita or plain yogurt.

Note: I added 2 hot green chillies since it was for grown up kids like me and my husband.
If for small kids avoid hotness by adding less chillies.

Enjoy the dish! n don't forget Eat and Eat little MORE.. :)
